The NYC uni counters that have closed since 2016

Sea urchin is a fragile business, and so, it turns out, are the rooms that serve it. Of the counters logged in New York since 2016, 34 have since closed for good. Some legends (cough Jewel Bako cough/sob), some quiet neighborhood spots, all fortunately visited before the lights went out.

This is the record, oldest visit first. Not a ranking, just a list kept honest by the receipts. Where a room reopened under a new name, the old name is what stayed in the log.
